Teachers' Transnational Meeting in Slovenia ( 12th/14th September)
Erasmus + Programme – A Successful Project Final
On 12th/14th September, teachers from Kaunas Juozas Urbsys Catholic Basic School, Džilda Railiene and Kolomba Bulotienė attended the final transnational teachers’ meeting of Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic School Partnership Project "Inventions and Cultural Behaviour" in Benedict, Slovenia. Teachers from schools of the partner countries - Poland, Turkey, Slovenia, Romania, Italy and Spain also participated in it. The implementation of this Erasmus+ project was coordinated by Kaunas J.Urbsys Catholic Basic school, Lithuania.
On the first day of the stay, participants visited Benedict's Basic School. The pupils presented the topics that were analyzed during the run of the project in a very creative way. During the meeting the results of the project were discussed and the final product, prepared by the teachers who coordinated this project, was presented. Project participants talked the problems over and looked for possible solutions.
Teachers not only worked and summarized the results of the project, but also participated in a cultural program prepared by Slovenian partners. The participants visited the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana and admired the architecture of this green European capital, sailed down the Ljubljana River, listened to the stories of the guide. Also, everybody went sightseeing in Maribor city. It is the second largest city in Slovenia, located on the banks of the River Drava. The teachers went down the Drava River on a wooden raft and listened to Slovak folk melodies. They also visited the Technical Museum. The amazing nature of Slovenia, the mountains and vineyards made a huge impression on the participants. At the farewell party, the participants did not spare one another a word and thank you for the excellent partnership, mutual understanding and assistance.
There was no indifferent people in this Erasmus+ KA2 project and its various activities. Teachers shared educational experience, creative ideas, improved multilingual and ICT skills whilst students not only learned a lot about human invention and cultural behaviour, but also enjoyed the stay in the international community, they had a unique opportunity to see themselves in another environment, get acquainted with the culture of different countries, improve their knowledge and skills on different subjects and different activities.
Project activities have been completed, but cooperation between schools continues. Great thanks to Erasmus + programme for providing the opportunity to learn, train and improve, communicate and collaborate.
